Question - Describe the saying: "One cannot lead another where one has not gone himself." How does this apply to the health and wellness professional? Do you have an obligation to your clients to be developing your health psychologically, physically, and spiritually? Why or why not? How can you implement psychological and spiritual growth in your personal life?
This saying implies that an individual need knowledge and experience if they are to make an impact on another person’s life. For example, I would not allow an ophthalmologist to extract a tooth if he/she has never performed a tooth extraction.
Doctor/patient relationship can be transformed when the medical professionals began to treat patients with integrity and the need to build a trust that extends beyond job loss or diminished medical insurance.
I believe it is important for me to develop psychologically, physically, and spiritually, in order to build a relationship of trust and integrity.
Reflecting an attitude of compassion and gratefulness helps to implement my psychological and spiritual growth.
